Oppenheim declared the fake textbooks were sold thru varsity and main street bookstores and direct to customers thru the Web. The distributors purchased the books either from overseas producers or, as in the case of Davis Textbook, thru U.S. Sources that got them from overseas. "There are, sadly, a bunch of people and enterprises out there who have come to a decision to earn a crust off the backs of bonafide publishers," Oppenheim claimed.
"The publishers do not really wish to be in the business of chasing counterfeiters... ".
